Who We Are

Neighbors Nourishing Communities (NNC) is a locally run Oregon nonprofit and 501(c)(3) charity on a mission to provide fresh, nutritious produce to neighbors in need. Since 2014, we’ve helped families, schools, and gardeners grow—and share—thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables each year.

Gardeners grow.

We provide seeds, plants, tools, and guidance to help people succeed. In return, home gardeners pledge to donate 20% or more of their harvest to the Tualatin Food Pantry or food bank of their choice.

Families thrive.

We fund garden plots, tools, and supplies for low-income families so they can grow and enjoy their own fresh food.

Communities connect.

From gardening or cooking classes to harvest parties, we build spaces where people learn, share, and nourish one another.

Our approach is simple:

How You Can Get Involved

Become a Gardener

Anyone can grow with NNC—whether you have a few pots on your patio or a full backyard plot. We’ll give you seeds, plants, and support to get started. You’ll enjoy fresh food for your family and share the bounty with neighbors in need.

Volunteer or Support

Not a gardener? You can still help! Volunteer to raise seedlings, assist with classes, or support community garden projects. Businesses can donate supplies, offer discounts, or even share unused property as garden space.

Make a Donation

Your financial gifts help us purchase seeds, soil, tools, and community garden plots for families in need. Produce donations from your own harvest—even a few pounds make an enormous difference!
